Today's track "Horton Hears a Revolution" comes (with minor spoilers) from Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, the 2017 first-person shooter wherein an alternate-history America is under super-powered Nazi control going into the 1960's. Having crippled the Nazi war machine in Europe in the previous game, super-soldier protagonist William Joseph "B.J." Blazkowicz and co. head to America to kickstart the titular revolution, in this particular instance by way of a contest of words and drinking with the titular Horton and his New Orleans resistance:

Amidst the yelling and bullets flying in the background, this jazzy rocking track by series composer Mick Gordon provides a scene-stealing counterpoint, in no small part due to the clarinet played in-universe by one Paris Jack. Unfortunately there's no indication of who the real-life musicians are, if any...

Wolfenstein II and its predecessors Wolfenstein: The New Order and Wolfenstein: The Old Blood are all very well-scored (both musically and critical-reception wise). Although for the most part the soundtracks blend subtly with the story and gameplay rather than stand out themselves the way "Horton Hears a Revolution" does, you might also like to check out the selections below...
